Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss as is her mom who's English. She grew in a South London community estate, and when she was fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. Since then she's made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. The following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She has performed in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was then removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the new season. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. From June to July 2012, the actress married her long-time boyfriend actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months as well as hockey in winter. Ashley could never walk, but she danced. As she was two and a half, she started Baby Ballet and fell in love. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school at the top levels of competitions, such as tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. She won the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
